Information Technology

Modern information and communication technologies are a deciding competitive factor for Germany. New technologies forming the basis of new products and markets can have a positive impact on the labour market and more than compensate for the loss of jobs in traditional areas of production. This potential is to be strengthened and promoted in future, and forms the background for a further area of focus for the PT-DLR. It comprises the domains of ICT Strategy and EU Synergies, Communications Technology, Electronics and Electronics Systems and Software Systems; Knowledge Technologies. All areas are focused in the funding programme for Information and Communications Technology, IT Research 2006.
